Abstract

We appreciate the interest and comments from Drs. Lohmann and Garcia-Prats. Improvements in neonatal care has decreased the mortality of the VLBW population overall in the past decade [1]. We have run a regression analysis adjusted for gestational age, small for gestation age, inborn/outborn status, sex, multiple births, vaginal delivery, and 1-min Apgar score.
