Lack of Association of Pediatric Surgical Patient Outcomes With Increased Disposable Operating Room Supply Costs
Abstract
There is wide variation in the cost of disposable operating room supplies between surgeons performing the same operation at the same institution. The general relationship between variation in disposable supply cost and patient outcomes is unknown. We aimed to evaluate the relationship between disposable supply cost and patient outcomes for sixteen common operations.
