Letter to the Editor Regarding: Hospital Variation in Postoperative Mortality Among Preterm Infants
Abstract
We read with interest the article by Mehl et al. reporting hospital-level variation in postoperative mortality among preterm infants treated at U.S. pediatric centers. In a large national cohort with risk- and reliability-adjusted analyses, the authors show substantial variation in mortality, most pronounced at lower gestational ages.1
