Comment on “The effect of age and symptom duration on the accuracy of twist score for testicular torsion in boys”
Abstract
We read with great interest the recent paper by Eswaravaka and colleagues assessing how age and symptom duration influence the diagnostic accuracy of the Testicular Workup for Ischaemia and Suspected Torsion (TWIST) score in boys with acute scrotal pain [1]. Their work adds meaningful evidence that these factors do not significantly affect diagnostic performance, supporting TWIST as a rapid and reliable bedside tool for early triage in suspected testicular torsion.
