Letter to the Editor “Transumbilical laparoscopic-assisted appendectomy without pneumoperitoneum in children: Feasibility and outcomes from a single center”
Abstract
We read with interest the article Editor “Transumbilical laparoscopic-assisted appendectomy without pneumoperitoneum in children: Feasibility and outcomes from a single center” by Yamaoka et al. The authors report a high completion rate and acceptable complication profile, suggesting that this technique may represent a safe alternative to conventional laparoscopic appendectomy However, we would like to highlight several points that merit further discussion.
