Finally, somebody did a large multi-center study looking at silo versus immediate closure in gastroschisis. Hawkins at all in the August issue of JPS showed no difference. Silo or immediate closure. They looked at mortality, sepsis, readmission rate, and time to full feeds, no difference. So there you have it, dealer's choice.
